THE member for Kerowagi, Francis Kikin Siune, has recently opened a newly constructed classroom funded by the Kerowagi District Development Authority (KDDA).
This classroom is part of a new primary school in Kerowagi, within the Gena Waugla LLG, accommodating approximately 200 students from grades 1 to 8 and employing eight teachers. The school is centrally located in the Kunabau community.
Siune expressed his gratitude to the contractors responsible for building the new classroom, as well as the landowners and neighboring communities, for their ongoing support throughout the construction process.
He emphasised the importance of education as the key to the future and urged the people of Kerowagi to prioritise education.
Siune underscored the limited natural resources available in Simbu for generating revenue, emphasizing that human resources are the primary asset.
He encouraged Kerowagi students, who are attending universities, colleges, and technical schools, to give education the utmost priority.
He also announced that the KDDA has allocated funds to support tertiary education in the year 2024 and pledged to continue promoting human resource development.
