THE Kumul Petroleum PNG Lewas remains the Champions of the Pacific Cup.
The Kumul Petroleum Lewas have won the Pacific Cup grand final after defeating New Zealand Aotearoa Maori by 5 wickets.
Sibona Jimmy was crowned player of the match, scoring an important 25 runs to go along with her five-wicket haul earlier in the day.
Brenda Tau, Captain of PNG Lewas has thanked the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited for the sponsorships that has made them to go this far. Ms Tau thanked Cricket PNG for the support and everything.
“The girls have been really focused since we came here pretty much had to watch the first game between Mouri and Lewas, it was really good kind of picked us up, we knew what we needed to do and from there we started to keep focusing each game and that took us into the finals,” She said.
Ms Tau thanked all the coaches in PNG for their help in training and support that has enabled them to fight through the rounds and finally winning the finals.
PNG Lewas will be returning home tomorrow as the champions of the South Seas Healthcare Pacific cup 2024.
