THE Papua New Guinea National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning related to the impending impact of Tropical Cyclone Kirrily, which is currently forming off the coast of North Queensland.
Heavy rainfall is expected in the NCD, Central, and Milne Bay over the next 48hrs.

The St Johns Ambulances (SJA) in a statement said they are on stanby and would respond to casualties quickly and safely as possible, but there may be delays in reaching some casualties in affected areas.
SJA advised people to stay updated with the weather reports and comply with instructions from designated authorities.
SJA said it would continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as necessary.
