THE UPNG Adventist Tertiary Student Association (UPNG ATSA) rolled out, community awareness at Bereji community focused on Savings and Budgeting with Law and order issues.
During their awareness, they emphasis strongly on the building a better community through educating families on best practices of planning ways to spend and save their daily earnings as well as having promoting and upholding ethics of community and respecting other people.
The students started the awareness by doing skits to deliberate and break down important issues affecting children and youths aimed at bringing clear understanding.
Lena Paul, one of speaker who spoke on Budget explained to the community that they can be able to save good amount of money that would help them send out their children for education studied.
“It’s always good to save money, when you have plenty”, Lena told the community.
“There are other emergency that we can save up toward, which we all go through.”
A final year Jeanelle Ewande, spoke on law and order and it’s importance to keeping peace and safer community to drive community forward.
She stressed the responsibility of families to take on lead in discipline their younger ones and to teach them of creating harmony in their homes
“Families are the people we can work with, and children receives good discipline when the families advocates alot on demonstrating good behaviours.
