Hiri Koiari MP commends government

By DALCY LULUA

MEMBER for Hiri Koiari Keith Iduhu commends the Minister for Mining Wake Goi for successfully facilitating the consultative conference for all parties of the Central Cement & Lime Project to reach its initializing stage of the Community Development Agreement (CDA).

“Whilst I stand on the opposite of the nexus of the Government in the Westminster System, I’m proud to say, and I want to commend the Mining Minister,” said Iduhu.

“Launching this Consultative Conference under section four (4) of the Mining Act, and concluding it successfully within record time of three months in the last five years, is the best achievement ever.

“I think this is truly an achievement, not only for Hiri Koiari or Central province, but the country as a whole,” he added.

“This particular agreement is quite unique to the extent that royalties are up to 80% in favour of landowners; this very important to note.

“So, I commend and I congratulate the chairman and the landowners of Keakea Association and Kido Association,” said Iduhu.

He stressed about the importance and impact the project will have on the province and country as whole.

“The Marape-Rosso Government will put on its manifesto as one of its achievements we can all stand proud as a nation.

“On the 50th anniversary of this country’s journey, we now launch one of the first limestone projects in this country.

“That is the contribution of the people of Rearea and Kido in nation building.

“You should be proud, stand tall for having contributed to the GDP of this nation.

You contributed to the GDP of this nation, and you are relevant and you are important and you are valued,” said the local MP.

Iduhu said he is grateful for being part of these discussions and the journey that team will embark on.

“We will continue to embrace and grace as we go forward.”
