The NCD Provincial Health Authority management is equipping their drivers and security guards with new uniforms.

The NCD PHA management says a secure environment is fundamental to delivering quality healthcare services in the National Capital District.

Chief Executive Officer Dr Robin Oge said his management had provided new uniforms and work boots for the entire security and driving teams at Gerehu General Hospital and other urban clinics.

The Security Supervisor for Gerehu General Hospital Meak Nai said the identity of his fellow guards has been hidden from the patients for a very long time.

“With the new security uniforms, the guards will have an identity and will be respected by the patients as they do their job,” said Mr Nai.

He thanked NCD Provincial Health Authority for recognizing the importance of security in all its facilities in by providing them with the uniforms.

Security supervisor for Six Mile Clinic Patrick Kaki said the uniforms would boost the morale of his guards to work harder and serve NCD PHA.

“As a security supervisor, I am proud to wear my uniform and work with my fellow guards at the clinic,” Mr Kaki said.

Dr Oge added that the new uniforms would ensure that security staff were recognised instantly thereby projecting the professionalism required for their critical roles.

“More importantly, it is a direct investment in their morale and a clear signal of our respect for the work they do every day to protect our staff, our patients, and our assets.

“This is another step forward for NCDPHA’s mission to strengthen the NCD PHA and build public confidence in our health services,” he said.
