The International Training Institute has rolled out its third Artificial intelligence (AI) workshop in Port Moresby.
The third set of AI workshop catered for 10 people which included staff and students from ITI as well as staff from public sectors and private sectors.
The training basically equipped the participants with fair knowledge about the digital world and some of the new AI models and applications that can actually help to make work easier in their respective organizations as well as add value to their personal life.
The workshop was more practical than theory where the participants were given the opportunity to sit in front of computers and get hands on experience about the new AI models and applications and how it can be applied.
One of the facilitators and ICT project manager Syed Rizwan said: “This is the third AI workshop we had so far, more than 40 people have been registering for the workshop and we’re dividing them into segments to take up these courses and we’re looking for to these.”
“We are also looking forward to go out into the organizations to run the AI workshops as well as creating new applications, given the need that these organizations need this AI knowledge to fast tract the functions of the institutions and organizations which will save time, however that will depend on their own invitations.”
On of the participants, Bernadette Arae, from the National Superannuation Fund, said: “We appreciate the time that we’ve spent here. Within the short three hours, we were able to learn different AI models and what they do. Basically, the one that really stood out for me was the data analytics one because I deal with data on a day to day basis so it would help me in a way that I don’t need to be doing some of the predictions and some of the questions that we need, some of the answers we need from the data that’s provided. We can always put the questions into the model, which would provide the answers that would be useful to us.”
The International Training Institute is looking forward to having more individuals and organizations being part of the AI workshop and to continue to run the workshops.
