In a major investment towards education and digital learning, Petroleum Resources Gobe (PRG) in partnership with Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) has successfully delivered E-Library equipment to seven schools across Southern Highlands Province.

The initiative, driven by PRG Chairman Mr. Mathew Sisimolu is part of the company’s long-term vision to enhance human capital development in project impact areas and beyond.

The seven beneficiary schools include:

  1. Gobe Agro Technical High School
  2. Don Mosely Primary School
  3. Wemi Top-Up School
  4. Marorogo Top-Up School
  5. Erave High School
  6. Kagua Secondary School
  7. Koare High School

Chairman Sisimolu, who also serves as Chairman of the Gobe Leadership Committee (GLC), led MRDC project officers on a ground visit to each of the schools, personally overseeing the handover of the digital learning facilities.“Unlike many leaders who operate from afar, I believe in being present on the ground,” said Mr. Sisimolu.

“This is not just a PRG initiative it is a commitment to shaping the future of our children. Education is the pathway to long-term prosperity, and this e-library project is a step in preparing our young people to compete in a digital world.”

He further emphasised that MRDC, as manager of PRG’s projects, remains passionate about human capital development and is proud to support meaningful investments that reach people directly.

“We’re not just talking about change. We’re delivering it. These students now have access to resources that were once out of reach,” said Mr. Sisimolu.
“This is an investment into leadership, knowledge, and the potential of rural PNG.”

Community leaders, school principals, and students expressed gratitude to PRG and MRDC for prioritising education as a core development pillar.
