Seven PNG University of Technology (Unitech) students were among others certified as facilitators of a leadership program with PNG Tribal Foundation in Lae last month.

All female final year’s students studying Bachelor in Mathematics and Computer Science, Geographical and Information Science, Science and Food Technology have taken a 11 weeks journey on learning good values and servant leadership transformation table guided by Senisim PNG team over the last few months.

Ten women received certificates in Nganalaka Catholic Community, Bitkapuk in Gazelle district, three youths at Gordon, in Port Moresby.

“The 11-week journey was very impactful, and it helped us reflect deeply on our character, attitude, and purpose.

“Many of us became more positive, confident, and mindful in how we interact with others and for me personally, it was a big learning experience as a first-time facilitator I learned to lead with patience, empathy, and confidence, “lead facilitator Jenitha Wale said.

She said the students have expressed interest in starting the tables and bring in more students and youths on teaching values and transforming minds of the future generation.

Since I am completing my final year at Unitech, I hope to facilitate another group wherever I move next hopefully at my future workplace,” Ms Wale said.

About 10 tables are currently underway in Port Moresby, Lae and Kokopo are also facilitating their tables.

The Foundation urge interested organisations, groups, association, families, schools to come onboard and be an agent of change for this country by joining the program.
