Aisop Mol earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Papua New Guinea, where he received the Male Dean’s Award for having the highest GPA of 4.3 among his colleagues.

Mr Mol, as the graduand respondent, shared his experience as a person who comes from the workplace and is also part of the student.

“I speak to you not only as a graduand, but someone who has been in the field, the world we are entering is a complex one marked by economic crisis, political shift, technological disruptions and global uncertainty.

“In this environment, getting a job is only the beginning. Staying in the job requires discipline and humility,” Mr. Mol said.

He added that growing in the job demands adaptability, integrity, and courage.

“Workplaces are social systems. Advancement is not just about intelligence. It is about empathy, communication, and the ability to work with people from all works of life.

“These are the strengths of social centers.”

Mr. Mol challenged the graduans that today we are celebrating achievements tomorrow. We begin responsibility.

“Carry your degree with pride but carry your values with even greater pride,” he said. “Be adaptable, be courageous and be useful to society, and remember your work will serve communities, institutions, and the nation.”

Mr. Mol concluded with an encouraging statement to the graduates.

“Let us leave this hall not only with degrees in our hands but with gratitude in our hearts and purpose in our steps.

“The bamboo that we hold proves what we have achieved and what we do tomorrow will prove who we truly are,” he said.
