Trukai Industries under the established partnership with the Cheshire Disability Services in Port Moresby has donated 100 kilos of Trukai rice to Cheshire Disability Services.

Trukai has been continuously supporting the Cheshire Disability Center since their established partnership in 2005 on a monthly basis with 100 kilos of Trukai rice.

The 100 kilos of rice donated will help feed  the residents, securities, employees, walk in disabilities and a 100 students living with disabilities that are attending to a school  within the Cheshire Disability Services.

General Manager of Cheshire Disability Services Gerald Bengesser said: “Trukai has been faithfully donating rice over the years. This donation makes a big difference for us, running our operations and looking after the 17 residents, two short-term residents, walk-in residents that we start feeding on their way to recovery and a 100 disabled students enrolled here. At declining times we have the support from Trukai, business houses as well as churches and communities  and so I appreciate  this continuous  support to sustain this  center.”

Program manager Joe Hanuma added: “This is a privilege to be receiving such donations and on behalf of our residents and students here we appreciate trukai with your continuous support. We are looking forward to the years ahead for your continuous support, collaboration and partnership with us.”

Mr Bengesser concluded: “I know that one part of the CSR is obviously the donation part, however I am also inviting anybody to come and spend the time here with our residents. If you want to do advocacy for the people with disabilities, the best thing is to take them out and have fun.”
