A GROUP of 22 volunteers graduated last week after successfully completing a first aid training program with St John Ambulance.

Director clinical systems Dr Norrie welcomed the volunteers to St John Ambulance and commended their commitment to the community service.

“I encourage you to continue your dedication to helping others and I thank you all for choosing to be part of the National St John’s Ambulance team,” he said.

The intensive training equipped the volunteers with essential first aid and emergency response skills to assist during this important national milestone, enduring the safety and we’ll being of the public.

The addition of the new volunteers strengthens the National St John Ambulance capacity to provide timely and reliable emergency services during large scale public events

The new volunteers will support event medical services during the upcoming Independence Day celebrations across Port Moresby.
