Island Mobile Hire Car (IMHC) announced its silver sponsorship for the World Coconut Day celebration with a presentation of a K100,000 cheque to the Kokonas Industri Koperesen (KIK) at the APEC House today (16 July).
As a dedicated service provider to KIK, the hire car company is the first private sector company to respond to the event with such sponsorship.
IMHC Group Managing Director, Mr. David Raim Rokadui, said the company is honored to present such support to help celebrate the day.
“We are honored to support the World Coconut Day celebrations,” Mr. Raim said.
“Our commitment to the coconut industry is strong, and we believe in giving back to the communities and sectors that contribute so much to our economy.”
KIK Managing Director, Mr. Alan Aku, expressed gratitude and thanked IMHC for their generous contribution towards the hosting of the event.
He said the support
underscores the company’s (IMHC) dedication to fostering growth and sustainability within the coconut industry in PNG.
“The World Coconut Day celebrations aim to highlight the importance of the coconut sector in economic development, environmental sustainability, and cultural significance,” Mr. Allan said.
