Mama Bank signs MOU with Theodist

The Women’s Micro Bank Limited (Mama Bank) signed a 3years long, memorandum of Understanding with Theodist Limited to launch a partnership under Mama Bank’s Loyalty Card Program earlier today in Port Moresby.

The signing of the MOU was officiated by senior officials and representatives from both organizations  which included t the CEO of Both Organizations CEO of Theodist Limited, Kumar Baliah and the CEO  of Mama Bank, Gunanid Das as well as customers.

The collaboration will provide Mama bank’s customers with exclusive discounts and benefits, reinforcing their commitment to deliver value added services and empowering their clients,

Under the MOU, the Mama Bank Customers will benefit from the mama Bank Royalty Card, which provides exclusive discounts of up to 10% discount on Purchase of Theodist outlets Nationwide. The program is designed to support women and rural communities by easing access to essential products that enhance education, livelihood and everyday living.

CEO of Theodist Limited, Kumar Baliah, reaffirmed the company’s continues support for inclusive community development,

“For over 50 years, Theodist has proudly served the people of PNG with quality and affordable products. This Partnership with mama Bank reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting families and communities while creating real value  for women and small businesses through innovative programs like the loyalty cards,” he said.

CEO of Mama Bank, Gunanid Das, said the partnership aligns directly with Mama Bank’s mission to empower women and drive financial inclusion.

“Mama Bank exists to provide opportunities for women and rural communities to be part of the mainstream economy Through this partnership with Theodist, our  customers will not only enjoy discounts  but also gained improved access to products that help them build stronger future for themselves and their families.

“Most of the companies that partner with formal sectors to issue royalty cards and not informal sectors and so, mama bank is taking this initiative to partner with Theodist as well as other companies so that it helps to ease the payment of essential items for its customers,( mostly the informal unfortunate sector) to benefit  from the royalty card that is to be issued at the bank,”

One of the satisfied customers of Mama Bank who was there to witness the signing of the MOU said, “I am very happy to be one of Mama Bank’s client and to benefit from it with  a loyalty card, I am looking forward to go shop at Theodist.”  

The Mama Bank Royalty Cards are expected to be active as of the signing of the MOU today. The MOU reflects both organizations shared vision oof empowering women, strengthening communities and contributing to the sustainable development of Papua New Guinea.
