Milne Bay SME Association partners media promotions firm

THE Milne Bay Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Media Partners Limited in an exciting new venture that opens a new pathway

The MoU, which was signed on Thursday, is for their members, who produced local handicraft, to gain market access in Australia and worldwide.

Media Partners Limited, an established PNG company with over 20 years of media and marketing experience, is the official buying agent for Kulture Hub Coffee Shop and Specialty Store.

The business, which is based in Cairns, Australia, is owned and operated by Papua New Guinean businesswoman Gloria Gapi.

Gapi’s vision for Kulture Hub is to be a vehicle for promoting the amazing variety and quality products produced by local SMEs and giving them direct access to customers in Australia through their coffee shop in Cairns and globally through their website.

Media Partners Director Roslyn Koisen, who is also association secretary, said: “Market access has long been a challenge for SMEs in PNG, with currency, freight, and trustworthy partners being just a few of the obstacles they face when trying to get their products into global markets.

“Media Partners is proud to support this partnership to bridge these obstacles for small to medium enterprises.

“Beyond being the buyer, we become a partner with our SME suppliers to help them develop the quality of their products and to give them opportunities to competitively sell on international markets.”
