PanEuro Group has appointed Ces Iewago as Executive Vice Chairman and Head of Global Origination & Strategic Partnerships, signaling a major expansion of its Asia-Pacific investment strategy focused on Australia and regional markets.

Iewago will oversee large-scale project and asset funding across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region for Deep Green Capital, working alongside Simon Birch, Managing Director. Together, they will deploy transformational capital using Deep Green’s distinctive zero-debt, 100% equity funding model through syndicates of global pension funds—providing patient, longterm capital unconstrained by traditional debt structures. The PanEuro Group cornerstones each syndicate investment (minimum AUD$150m.) that 100% funds either a government or corporation based on strict investment criteria. The investments are long-term and range from 10 years to up to 40 years. For governments, ownership in the financed assets accrues over the term of the funding with a pre-defined path to 100% ownership.

The appointment positions PanEuro Group to capitalize on surging demand for large-scale infrastructure and project funding across the Asia-Pacific region, where major economies are projected to lead global growth through 2027. Australia’s infrastructure investment pipeline alone exceeds AUD$200 billion, while regional markets including Papua New Guinea face critical financing gaps as major mining, LNG, and infrastructure projects

Bridging Global Capital with Regional Expertise

Iewago brings over 30 years of experience across banking, securities, superannuation, and the mineral and energy sectors throughout Australia, Canada, and Papua New Guinea. His appointment combines deep operational expertise in Asia-Pacific markets with the international credibility to bridge Western pension fund capital with regional opportunities.

“The Asia-Pacific region represents one of the world’s most dynamic growth opportunities for infrastructure and major project investments, and our structure requires nil debt providing a completely innovative and much lower risk way of funding major assets for governments and corporations” said Paul Brook, CEO and Group Chairman of PanEuro Group.

“Ces brings an unparalleled combination of regional expertise and international credibility that will be instrumental in deploying pension fund capital into the region’s most significant projects.

“Working with Simon Birch, who jointly leads our Australia operations, we now have a strong and growing team positioned to fund transformational assets across the region using our distinctive zero-debt, 100% equity model.” said Paul Brook, CEO and Group Chairman of PanEuro Group.

Deep Green Capital’s innovative funding approach addresses a critical gap in the market: the need for patient, transformational capital that can fund entire projects without traditional debt constraints. By syndicating 100% equity funding from global pension funds, the firm provides long-term, low-cost capital ideally suited for Australia’s major infrastructure, energy and technology assets across the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Regional Growth and Investment Opportunity

The Asia-Pacific region is experiencing unprecedented infrastructure development, with Australia leading in both scale and sophistication. The region’s combined infrastructure investment needs exceed USD $1 trillion through 2030, spanning renewable energy transition, mining and resources, transport networks, and digital infrastructure.

Australia’s pipeline includes major renewable energy projects, critical minerals development,

transport infrastructure, and data center expansion—all requiring the kind of patient, long-term capital that pension funds can provide.

Regional markets including Papua New Guinea add further depth, with PNG projected to

achieve 4.7% GDP growth in 2025 driven by mining expansions and multi-billion-dollar LNG

projects.

“Australia and the Asia-Pacific region represent markets where transformational infrastructure and re- source projects must be balanced with sustainable governance and long-term value

creation,” said Iewago. “Deep Green Capital’s 100% equity funding model through global

pension fund syndicates provides exactly the kind of patient capital these markets need—capital that isn’t constrained by traditional debt structures and can support projects through their full development and life cycle. This approach is particularly powerful in Australia, where we’re seeing increasing demand for innovative funding solutions for large-scale

ESG Leadership and Sustainable Development

A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and former AmCham Coral Sea Board Member, Iewago is recognized as a champion of environmental, social, and

governance principles across the Asia-Pacific region. His appointment reflects PanEuro Group’s commitment to responsible investment practices as ESG frameworks increasingly become central to infrastructure and resource project financing and core to pension fund investment criteria. .

Strategic partnerships that combine deep regional expertise with international capital are essential to delivering projects that meet both financial and sustainability objectives.
