THE Bank South Pacific (BSP) has signed a partnership with NCR Atleos Corporation on Friday to update 600 ATMs with enhanced features including the ability to make account deposits directly through ATM.
The upgrade will be implemented in Papua New Guinea and six other countries in the Pacific.
BSP Group CEO Mark Robinson shares his excitement about this milestone achievement.
“At BSP we need to do everything we can to improve the convenience of people who bank with us,” said Robinson.
“We acknowledge that there’s more we can do to make banking easier. That’s why we are committed to modernizing our banking services to meet the needs of our customers,” he said.
Mr. Robinson said that as a proud South Pacific Bank, their mission is to providing reliable and consistent services to their customers.
He said that the project will start by mid-2025 and it will save customers time by reducing traditional queues for deposits.
Currently, BSP operates a network of more than 600 ATMs, including 300 in PNG, over 120 in Fiji, and others across Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, and the Cook Islands.
“This innovation will not only enhance customer convenience but also help ease the burden on 120 BSP branches and offer much more efficient and convenient ways of customer service,” said Robinson.
NCR Atleos, NZ and Pacific Sales Manager Peter Corkery share his enthusiasm for the partnership.
“We look forward to developing this solution and bringing it to market,” he said.
“By supporting BSP’s ATM operations, we will enable the bank to focus on providing exceptional service while we ensure their technology operates seamlessly,” said Corkery.
