CENTRAL Province is on the verge of wrapping up their census exercise and looks forward to completing the remaining census units soon.
Provincial Census Coordinator Morea Arua told the media that the Provincial Government has taken responsibility for ensuring that the communities are counted.
“We aim to have a successful rollout of the entire census operation here in Central Province, and that’s our main goal,” Mr. Arua said.
“All our local level governments (LLG)in Central Province are now in enumeration status.
“There are only a few LLG areas that are fairly remote and will require a little more effort and resources to reach for enumeration to proceed properly.”
He assured the people that the census team should be able to cover all those outstanding areas in the province.
Mr. Arua said the team would be able to complete those areas by the end of the extension or the following week.
Meanwhile, he confirmed that allowances for all enumerators are now in the Provincial account and that all enumerators can rest assured they will receive their allowances.
“We are glad that we have come this far with our census exercise, and we hope to finish on a high note once we complete the counting,” Mr. Arua said.
