The Sohe District Development Authority (SDDA) has announced the start of construction on  a double classroom for the new Ioma Junior High School in Sohe District, Northern Province.

The project, valued at K1.4 million, is fully funded by the SDDA under the leadership of Henry Jons Amuli, MP for Sohe.

A construction company has now mobilized to site and began work, marking a significant step in the district’s ongoing efforts to strengthen education infrastructure and expand access to quality learning environments for children in rural and remote communities.

This development reflects Mr Amuli’s strong commitment to education as a cornerstone for sustainable development in Sohe District.

Under his leadership, education remains a key priority, recognizing that empowered and educated young people are essential to building a resilient, productive, and prosperous future for the district and the nation.

“Our vision is to ensure that every child, regardless of where they live, has access to quality education in a safe and supportive environment. This project is a clear demonstration of our commitment to making education accessible and inclusive for all,” he said.

The Sohe MP extended his appreciation to the local community, landowners, and stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support.
