THE CPL Group of companies has extend its support with a cheque presentation of K70,000 to the staff and management of the Port Moresby Nature Park in Port Moresby today.
Chief Executive Officer for CPL Group, Navin Raju while presenting the cheque said the funding is in support towards the educational program that are being carried out at the Port Moresby Nature Park.
“ I see a lot of children coming here for the educational programs. It is an opportunity for CPL group to sponsor a program that is focusing on conservation and educating our young generation about our wildlife.
“Part of the school programs include school excursions which gives opportunity for children to explore and to put in practise what they have been taught in class about the aboundance of flora and fauna, and dfferent cultures of the country which the Park has done a tremendous job in conserving,” Mr Raju said.
He said he is pleased with their sponsorship towards the program as it reflects one of CPL’s value and that is to be responsible.
“Be responsible to your community, be responsible to your culture,” Mr Raju said.
Port Moresby Nature Park General Manager, David Thompson expressed his gratitude towards the CPL group for their continues support towards its programs despite the challenges faced by the Covid-19 pandemic in seeking corporate sponsorship and support to run their programs.
Mr Raju also said CPL is looking forward to work in partnership with Port Moresby Nature Park in the future.
