THE Marape-Rosso Government’s Cabinet is now in full swing with the signing in of two new Ministers at the government House today.
The swearing in of two Ministers brings the total number of Cabinet Ministers up to 38.

Member for Bogia, Robert Naguri was sworn-in as Minister for Energy to fill the vacancy left by cabinet minister Kerenga Kua when he resigned from the portfolio to join the Opposition.
Prime Minister James Marape said the timing was right for the occasion in relation to the Melanesian culture of respecting the death by ensuring customary and state obligations are met (Uguro death).
“This is a drafting process that must take place, this is a leadership that must come on after other leaders have gone with all necessary obligation include customary and state are dispense with,” he said.
The Prime Minister added that the government is doing its best to infuse into the cabinet, ministers who can merge and perform at areas they are competent and in their field of expertise to deliver to the people.
“The appointments are not just about holding office, job is expected to be done by those who are appointed in the cabinet so they joined the leaders who are at work.
“Many challenges face us as a nation, however, political leadership provide oversight on work that needs to be done in the head of the different department,” PM Marape said.
He said both ministers are university graduates in respective fields with vast experience and knowledge, and they are also second term MPs in the parliament.
PM Marape said both ministers appointed were as a result of discussions within the senior Pangu Pati.
“Dawa used to be in education sector and teaching profession and Naguri comes with backdrop in science.
“Both Ministers fit the bills,” Marape said.
