Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso will represent Papua New Guinea at the Annual APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Seoul, South Korea.

The APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting brings together Heads of Government and senior leaders from the 21 member economies to discuss key global and regional economic issues, strengthen trade and investment ties, and promote sustainable growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr Rosso said PNG’s attendance at APEC remains crucial, as it provides an important platform for the country to engage with regional partners, advance national interests, and attract investment opportunities.

“APEC is an important forum for Papua New Guinea to engage directly with some of the world’s largest economies on matters that impact our region and our people. Our active participation ensures PNG continues to be part of discussions on inclusive growth, trade facilitation, and sustainable development,” he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister will be away on official duty and will not attend Parliament this week, traveling tomorrow – Wednesday 29th October, and returning to the country on Monday, 3rd November 2025.
