IJIVITARI MP David Arore has prioritized education in the district in Northern, with a clear pathway for transformation.
Since, resuming office in 2022, after the national election, Arore has comprehended education as the pillar of success that will influence the transformation of greater impact through education.

Arore says Ijivitari district is one of the challenging districts in Northern, which is not connected by road through its three local level governments from Afore, Safia and Tufi. As an educationist, he believes education can alter positivity.

‘’When I won the Ijivitari seat in the 2022 national elections, the district had no high schools, which had forced me to put up a master plan to improve the education system in the district.

‘’ That was the chapter I had to drive with my education plan to find solace in the education space,’’ he said.

He says, when he was the than parliamentarian member for Ijivitari, under the previous government arrangement, he opened up Afore high school and Sakarina in the Afore local level government constituent when he entered parliament in 2007.

When I got elected in 2022, I went into full steam with the Ijivitari district development authority (IDDA), putting up education infrastructures in the three LLGs of the district, that includes, Afore, Safi and Tufi.

‘’In Tufi, we completed a four in one classroom and worked on three teachers houses that are currently under construction and soon to be completed.

‘’We are working now on Korua high school in Afore, building 6 classrooms under the new government’s policy on 166. At the same time, there is now work at Safia on the proposed Embessa high school on the lower Musa with the construction of four in one classroom, and at the same time, working on the water project for the school.’’

‘’We also purchased kit house fabricated office and one staff house from the PNG Forest Product in Bulolo, Morobe province.’’

He says the provincial education board or PEB in short will recruit teachers for the new high schools in Tufi, Koruo and Tufi this year for classes to commence.

‘’All in all with the support of the Ijivitari district development authority, we continue to prioritize major education infrastructures in the district,’’ he concluded.
