ENGA Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Chief Superintendent Fred Yakasa has called upon the people of the province to embrace positive change and strive for improvement in areas where it is needed.
Yakasa stressed the necessity for Enga Province to adopt a positive motto that serves as an inspiration, encouragement, and invitation while raising awareness and exerting influence.
“We require a transformative motto that signifies our acknowledgment of existing challenges and our determination to address them, positioning Enga where it rightfully belongs,” Yakasa said.
He outlined his policing strategy, which has been formulated for immediate implementation, with the primary goal of rectifying issues within Enga and steering it towards a positive trajectory.
Yakasa emphasized the importance of collaboration with all concerned communities in this endeavor.
“By addressing weaknesses and enhancing strengths, Enga will fulfill its potential both within the province and on the national stage,” he emphasized.
Yakasa acknowledged the positive attributes of Engans, highlighting their kindness, industriousness, generosity, and intelligence.
However, he also acknowledged the prevalent negative perception of Enga as a region marred by violence, which may deter visitors.
