IN an attempt to address fuel supply issues in the country, a tanker from Mobil Oil New Guinea (MONG) is currently discharging gasoline and diesel at Idubada Terminal in Port Moresby.
MONG, an ExxonMobil affiliate, announced this in a statement today.
After offloading in Port Moresby, the vessel will proceed to scheduled discharges at ports across the country including Lae, Madang and Rabaul.
According to the statement, additional vessels are also already enroute to Papua New Guinea and will be arriving throughout the coming days and weeks.
“It is business as usual for our Mobil customers and we are doing our best to assist other customers unable to access fuel from PUMA. Our commitment to PNG remains firm.”
