FORTY secondary school teachers from De La Sell Secondary and Marianville Secondary in Moresby Northeast electorate sponsored by Moresby North East District Development Authority under the leadership of Hon. John Kaupa with the vision to enhance teachers skills and competencies in the district have recently graduated last Friday in Port Moresby.
The sponsorship goes beyond material support and aims to uplift education standards.
In a collaboration with IBT College (ITJTC), each teacher received a computer to aid in classroom teaching, coupled with specialized training on practical computer skills.
This program, facilitated by IBT College, is not a basic computer course; it is an advanced step that equips teachers with real-world digital skills they can directly apply in their classrooms.
The training initiative emphasizes hands-on learning and prepares teachers to confidently integrate technology in their teaching methods, ultimately benefiting students and enhancing the learning experience across schools.
Hon. John Kaupa’s support highlights the critical role of teachers and showcases a commitment to advancing educational resources and capabilities in the region.
The initiative marks a forward-thinking approach to preparing educators for the digital age and reinforces the community’s dedication to improving the quality of education for future generations.
The institution, formerly known as IT Job Training Center located at 6 mile, has evolved into a DHERST-registered higher education provider.
It is recognized for offering high-quality business study programs that meet national and international standards, reinforcing its commitment to delivering excellence in education and professional training.
