Kikori district aligns its plans to MTDP IV

KIKORI District in Gulf Province is the first district to align its plans towards the Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP) IV that was recently launched two weeks ago.
On Wednesday, the Kikori District Development Authority (KDDA) held a consultative meeting with key district stakeholders to review the Kikori District Five Year Development Plan 2018-2022 and chart the course for the next five years (2023-2027).
Discussions during the meeting surrounded capturing plans to address mainly the law-and-order issues throughout the district.
Other issues brought up were on health, education, business development, service delivery, and infrastructure development.
The consultation was facilitated by Katara Bay Investments who was engaged by the KDDA to conduct the consultative meetings to review the 5 Year Kikori District Development Plan 2018 to 2022 and chart the next 5-year Development Plan.
This is the second consultative meeting held in Kerema.
The next consultative meeting will be held in Kikori at a later date.
In attendance were representatives of the Gulf Provincial Government, Kikori District Administration, key Local Level Government staff and key ward members and key government development agencies such as Department of Implementation and Rural Development and Department of Provincial and Local Level Government Affairs.
Kikori is first to make a formal determination to align its five-year plan formulation to MTDP IV focus areas.
