Sinasina-Yongomugl MP Kerenga Kua has pledged his fully support for PNG Tribal Foundation in combating sorcery violence in his district.
Mr Kua met with Tribal Foundation officials and discussed ways to address Sorcery Accusation Related violence (SARV) in Sinasina-Yongomugl and Chimbu Province.
“You have my full support and keep working for the good of the people and the country,” he told Tribal Foundation officials.
“At political level tougher penalties approach is needed to address the issue embedded into our homes.
“The government must revisit the criminal laws to prosecute people causing violence and disorder in our communities,” he said.
President of Tribal Foundation GT Bustin said:
