SIMBU Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Superintendent, Mazuc Rubiang, and his team has conducted a law-and-order awareness drive in the Kundiawa township last Friday.
PPC Rubiang said the initiative was aimed to engage the communities and to promote compliance with the laws of Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Mr Rubiang whilst conducting the awareness drive, delivered a clear message to the public emphasizing the importance of maintaining law and order and adhering to the legal regulations.
He also highlighted that the police bail amounts for liquor-related offences were increased recently to K2,000.00 whilst bail amounts for the illegal roadblocks now stands at K5,000.00.
The awareness drive encouraged the community members to act responsively and to understand the repercussions of the violence.
PPC Rubiang’s commitment was to foster a safer and law-abiding environment for everyone in the community to work and live peacefully. He also urged the community members to cooperate with the law enforcement officers to ensure the well-being of the community is safe.
