THE people of Usino Bundi Gama will now benefit from MiBank after being officially opened at Walium Guest House.
The launch was officiated by MiBank’s Madang Branch Manager, Mr. Paul Lat, along with his team of MiBank officers.
The event was attended by several key officials, including Mr. James Wang, Community Affairs Manager of Ramu Nickel Butua, and Mr. Nicholas Waipuk, Project Liaison Officer of the Mineral Resources Authority (MRA). The President of the Madang Women’s Council and other notable dignitaries were also present to witness the launch.
During the event, Mr. Waipuk stated the importance of cultivating a savings culture and managing finances wisely.
He encouraged residents, especially those receiving royalties from the mining project in the Usino Bundi Gama district, to make informed decisions about their finances and consider investments.
Mr. Waipuk expressed his gratitude to MiBank for bringing banking services closer to the rural communities through the establishment of this cash agent.
He highlighted that this initiative would greatly enhance financial accessibility for the people of Walium and surrounding areas.
The newly established MiBank agent is set to serve the entire population of Usino Bundi Gama and extend its services to the Middle Ramu region.
