THE Office of Censorship officially launched its 2025 Annual Operational Plan during a significant and uplifting event held on January 22, 2025, at the Tower B conference room, Central Government Office.

The ceremony marked the formal opening of the year under the theme “2025: Year of Restoration”, setting the tone for a purposeful and proactive year ahead.

The dedication and launch event not only blessed the Annual Operational Plan but also set a clear direction for the Office of Censorship to uphold its mission and work cohesively throughout the year.

The event began with a devotional service led by the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of the Pacific Island Missionary Church, Bishop John Boffah. In his address, Bishop Boffah emphasized the importance of spiritual grounding, urging staff to remain diligent and prioritize regular devotions as a source of strength and guidance in their work.

Chief Censor Mr. Jim Abani officially launched the 2025 Annual Operational Plan, highlighting it as a roadmap for success. He encouraged all officers to take ownership of the plan, emphasizing that teamwork, diligence, and innovation would be critical to achieving the outlined goals and objectives.

“This plan is not just a document; it’s a collective mission. Its success depends on your commitment, cooperation, and proactive approach to your responsibilities,” Mr. Abani stated.

Mr Abani encouraged his staffs to make commitment to their work and to make sure the plan is implemented for this year.

“We have to commit ourselves because commitment is very important to achieve this plan,” said Abani.

The Chief Censor’s remarks were supported by the executive managers and the Deputy Chief Censor, who reiterated the importance of teamwork and dedication.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by the Minister for Community Development, Youth, and Religion, Hon. Jason Peter, who is also responsible for the Office of Censorship.

The minister commended the organization for its achievements in 2024 and expressed optimism for the year ahead.

“I congratulate the Office of Censorship for an excellent year in 2024. As we move forward, let us work together with unity and purpose to achieve the best outcomes for 2025,” Hon. Peter said.1
