PAPUA New Guinea Rugby Football league has named its Prime Ministers XIII side to take on the visiting Australia in the return of PM’s XIII exhibition match after five years.

This edition of competition of the PM’s XIII will include both men’s women’s and juniors and the latest inclusion of PNG defence force men’s and women’s team going against Australia defence force. It is described two days of rugby league feast hosted in National Football Stadium for over two days, Saturday 23 -24, 2023.
Games are scheduled as Saturday 23rd September 2023
12pm: Defence Women – PNGDF Vs ADF 2pm: PM’s XIII Women
4pm: PM’s XIII Men
Sunday 24th September 2023
12pm: Junior Orchids Vs Australian School Girls 2pm:

PNGRFL Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hodina said the concept is to strengthen bilateral relations between PNG and Australia government.
“In the PM’s XIII matches we talk about shared values and histories or we can talk and campaign against violence against women, gender equality and all this using the power of sports as a tool for development in our country,” Mr Hodina said.
