UNITY is the pillar of our country, says Pastor Daniel Hewali of PNG Christian Leaders Alliances (PNGCLA) Deputy Chairman and the National Prayer Coordinator.
Our Unity Pillar also speaks about Christian values and prayer is the foundation of bringing closer to God. When we are united we will have the strength to lead this nation. Through the parliament, we want to inspire our people to restore our relationship with God as a Christian nation, said Pastor Hewali.
Pastor Hewali talked about the National Unity Pillar after attending the public servants dedication service at Sir John Guise indoor complex on Monday. Speaking at the PNGCLA secretariat office at 5- mile, the senior pastor said church leaders were invited as VIPs at the dedication service which shows the government’s deliberate commitment to churches and the people of this nation as Christian country.
“Church and government partnership is the way forward, it is a symbol of unity, collective wisdom and pinnacle of people’s power,” he said.
“Aim for smart, fair, healthy and happy people in line with PNG Vision 2050 and beyond. Unity pillar is the snapshot of how PNG will look in the near future.
“PNGCLA has been combating HIV/AIDS and other social issues with the word of God. We are grateful that this is a nation to be, one of the countries in the world that uses the word of God and prayer alone to set its people free from all obstacles,” Pastor Hewali said.
He used the words in Old Testament, Hosea 4: 6 clearly states that “my people are destroyed because they lack the knowledge of God Almighty” and also, Zechariah 4: 6 confirms, not by might or by power but by my spirit, says the Lord of the Host.”
The word of God Almighty never fails, whoever obeys my words will be blessed. Therefore, we all have to stand together in unity according to God’s word. The unity pillar will be our strength in all walks of our lives and for our country , the senior pastor said.
