Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea | Sunday, 04 May 2025: Prime Minister Hon. James Marape today launched the Two Witnesses Television Network (2WTN) at the John’s Foundation Adventist Church, 17 Mile, Central Province.

The occasion was witnessed by more than 200 faithfuls of the Seventh Day Adventist Church from the area and around the country.

The celebrations coincided with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the John’s Foundation, a ministry of the 17 Mile Adventist Church.

In his keynote address, Prime Minister Marape said the new television network would be supported by the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), adding that he looked forward to the full maturity of the network.

He urged the SDA church to use such platforms to carry out their evangelical work, including the dissemination of Christian messages to address many of the country’s social issues.

“When we talk about addressing social issues, it is only through positive Christian messaging that we will make our people understand the bigger picture,” Prime Minister Marape said.

Present for the occasion were the Minister for Community Development, Women, Youth and Religion Hon. Jason Peter; Member for Kompiam-Ambum and Trustee of John’s Foundation Hon. John Pundari; and Managing Director of National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) Kora Nou, representing the Minis ter for Information and Communication Hon. Timothy Masiu.
