IN a statement today, PNG Air has announced suspension of all scheduled PNG Air flights into Mendi, Southern Highlands Province.
“PNG Air regrets to advise our customers and the travelling public that for the past 3-4 weeks, all scheduled PNG Air flights into Mendi, Southern Highlands Province were suspended due to civil unrest.
“This suspension will remain in place until PNG Air’s Safety and Risk team can determine the safe operations of our services, back into the province.
“Services will resume as soon as all safety concerns are cleared.
“PNG Air sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your understanding during this time.
