PNG POWER Ltd has announced the commencement of a nationwide Customer Account Reconciliation Exercise, scheduled to run from 2 February to 30 April 30, 2026. The initiative is aimed at strengthening service delivery, ensuring fairness across its customer base, and supporting the long-term sustainability of electricity services in Papua New Guinea.

According to the company, the exercise will involve the disconnection of Credit Meter customers who have outstanding electricity bills. Power supply will be restored once full payment of debts is made, together with the reconnection fee. PNG Power emphasized that this measure is not simply about disconnection, but about reinforcing accountability and building a stronger foundation for reliable energy services.

The company highlighted that every payment made contributes directly to reinvestment in infrastructure, improved reliability, and expanded access to electricity nationwide. “This is about ensuring that all customers contribute fairly to the system, so we can continue delivering safe, reliable, and affordable power to homes, businesses, and communities,” the statement noted.

Customers are encouraged to remit payments directly to PNG Power Ltd’s official bank account and present payment advices at their nearest PNG Power office, or alternatively, email them to debtmanagement@pngpower.com.pg.
