PNGBTA to host fundraising dinner for office renovation

The Papua New Guinean Bible Translation Association (PNGBTA) will host a fundraising dinner on 8 November 2025 at APEC Haus to fund the renovation of its office.

PNGBTA Executive Director Nelson Tapineng emphasised the importance of Bible translation.

 “BTA aims to translate the Bible into the indigenous languages of Papua New Guinea, which is home to over 800 languages.

“BTA has already worked on translations in 74 languages across 16 provinces, with a vision to transform lives through the word of God.

” We ensure that the word of God reaches people in their mother tongues,” Mr Tapineng said.

PNGBTA Partnerships and Development Director Ofasia Wayne highlighted the upcoming fundraising dinner.

“The event aims to raise funds for essential infrastructure that will enhance Bible translation efforts and will feature various sponsorship categories.

“The sponsorship options include, Platinum at K20,000, Gold at K10,000, Silver at K5,000, and Bronze at K3,000. Individual tickets are priced at K250 per person.
