MINISTER responsible for National Defense & National Emergency Services (National Disaster, National Fire, National Volunteer Services) Hon Dr Billy Joseph today delivered five Toyota Landcruiser vehicles to his people of Nipa Kutubu.
The vehicles delivered were assigned to various critical community services in his electorate. Out of the five vehicles, two were purchased as ambulances for Pombrel Health Centre in Pleto LLG and Det Health Centre in Poroma LLG. The other three vehicles were for servicing law and order and policing in the Nipa Kutubu district.
When presenting the vehicles, Minister Dr Billy Joseph thanked the Governor for Southern Highlands Hon. William Powi who contributed by donating two of the five vehicles. He also thanked the National Gaming Control Board (NGCB) for donating one of the two ambulances.
The Minister also called on his people to be responsible and look after the vehicles and must be used specifically for the intended purposes.
Meanwhile, a community leader in Poroma LLG Mr Jessy Wong, thanked Hon Dr Billy for his timely intervention in delivering the ambulance for Det Health Centre, which serves the community as a Referral Hospital.
