FOREIGN Affairs Minister Justin Tkatchenko has given the charge to Dr Thaddeus Kambanei as Ambassador representing Papua New Guinea (PNG) to the Republic of China.

The Minister congratulated Dr Kambanei and his family and said he is looking forward to working with him.

“As your Minister, I look forward in working with you directly and through our Secretary-Department of Foreign Affairs to ensure the relationship with China grows stronger, bigger and better than before,” Tkatchenko said.

“Now that we have a permanent ambassador in China, it will be much easier to get things done, and I’m sure, this should bring the relationship to another level,” he added.

Dr Kambanei thanked the government for having the trust in him to take up the role, and assured the Minister do his best.
