HELA SETS BENCHMARK

THE people of the Hela Province went to poll quietly despite the recent non-election related incidents that occurred and as reported in the media over the past weeks.
According to security sources, the one day polling for Hela province started well and ends on good note with no issues reported after the polling in the four electorates including the new Magarima electorate.
In recent weeks leading to polling, Hela province became the centre of discussion with reports of illegal security personnel uniforms discovered and the discovery of the K1.065 million cash in Hela by Police of which the Prime Minister James Marape maintained his purity and urged the Police to do the investigation and law to take its course.
Prime Minister James Marape when responding to the series events that unfolded states that as the head of State he is more focused on the national issues than regional.
Whatever, that has been discovered by the security forces is something that is in the hands of the law and he has ordered investigation to be carried out.
Mr Marape also said the money which had been discovered by the Police is not his money and he has no idea of the cash been carried around.
On that note, he went on to rebut on some of the images of children under the age of 18 years has had been able to vote and signed the ballot papers.
“This kind of Photoshop and cut paste social media posts circulating on the social media is really embarrassing and disrespectful of a fellow Political Party and province that just gone to the poll peacefully.”
“Such lunatic and primitive posts by one individual or group is uncalled for and those caught creating and spreading such posts will be punish accordingly.”
Mr Marape pin pointed that these posts on social media is being made one particular group serving their own interests for their own gains.
“I want to assure Papua New Guineas that Pangu Pati is the oldest and will be the backbone of this country. “Anyone out there putting out rubbishes on social media and other platforms have to be mindful of their actions,” he said.
“What goes around, comes around!
“Have respect for fellow citizens and stop the blame game.

“Let us all concentrate on casting our votes and elect a leader who will be the servant of the people.”
