KAIRUKU MP Peter Isoaimo flew into the remote Maipa village situated on the upstream of North Mekeo by chopper today and supported a church youth program in the area.
He presented K10, 000 towards the St Paul’s Catholic church youth program with his emphasis to strengthen church partnership programs with communities in the area.
He stressed in his remarks that under his leadership as chairman of the Kairuku District Development Authority, he would partner with churches to bring change to communities.
He says such programs like the youth Congress hosted was important to advocate youths mindsets to live a meaningful and Godly life and influence change in the community.
He stressed with the current lateness in the electorate, he urged churches in the electorate to host such youth programs to change mindsets of youths in the area.
The MP than flew into Apanaipi village boarding Gulf province on the main Hiritano highway and open three chief platforms and presented K5000 in cash to strengthen the functions of chiefs in the area to maintain law and order on the area.
He said the chieftaincy practise in the Kairuku area is of paramount importance and his presence to support and witness the occasion was to advocate communities to adhere and respect chiefs leadership in the communities.
The three chief platforms were built from the MP’s rural housing scheme project.
