THE alternate nominee for Prime Minister and Provincial Member for Enga Sir Peter Ipatas urges members of parliament and coalition partners to stop gossiping about the Prime Minister and be open about issues country is facing.

“It’s about time ministers and leaders of coalition partners stop gossiping but start talking to the Prime Minister, be open about issues that we have in the country.”

“I want to take this opportunity to ask leaders to be leaders, we must not be like ‘MERI’ (women), we must not gossip.”

“Now that we have supported the Prime minister, let’s stop gossiping, give him the support,” said Ipatas.

He said he had heard the cry and dissatisfaction from the leaders and accepted this nomination and does not have any regrets for going up against the Prime Minister.

He  also said that he wouldn’t have accepted this nomination if honorable members of this Haus did not express their dissatisfaction with the performance of the PM.

He thanked the 15 strong men who stood with him during the VoNC and the people who wish him well and supported him.

He said his focus now will be to go back to his Province and continue to provide services to the people of Enga.

Meanwhile, Sir Ipatas further emphasized for leaders not to put pressure on Prime Minister for PSIP and DSIP funds and allow him to focus on national issues.
