PARLIAMENT Speaker Job Pomat urged Members of the Opposition to submit their Vote-of-no-confidence notice by 10am tomorrow (Wednesday 4th September).
He further urged the Opposition to file the motion properly so that it gets to the Private Business Committee (PBC), who will sit at lunch hour tomorrow, screen it, and bring back to the floor in afternoon session for further deliberation.
Pomat also informed the Parliament that Gulf Governor Chris Haiveta, who resigned from the government to join the Opposition two weeks ago, is still a active PBC member and he believes the Governor will represent the Opposition in the screening process of the notice paper.
“He (Haiveta) is still part of the PBC and will represent the Opposition team in the meeting”. Pomat said.
Meanwhile, Parliament is in session now as Members of the both house pay tribute to late Hon. Simon Dumarinu, MP for Central Bougainville.
