PM MARAPE: I WILL LOOK INTO ISSUES

PRIME Minister James Marape has promised to look into issues that are affecting the country.

He said this at a press conference held at the parliament house with his coalition partners today.

Prime Minister Marape said after defeating the Vote of No Confidence Motion against his government, his coalition partners went straight into a two hours long meeting in which they discussed issues that are affecting the nation.

He said in the discussion they talked about issues like the law and order problem, inflation and forex shortages.

“I want to make it known to the country that, our coalition government had discussed with our number one priority on the issue of Law and Order” said Prime Minister Marape

“In the face of everything that is going on, I want to indicate to the people of this nation that we’re not blind and were not ignorant”.

The Prime Minster said he will be meeting with the Australian Ambassador tomorrow afternoon to discuss how the Papua New Guinea Royal Constabulary can work with the Australian Police to ramp up the PNG police effort in addressing Law and order issues in the country.

The Prime Minister said the goverment caucus will meet quarterly every year to discuss on pressing issues that that is affecting the country.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minster said he will meet with the University of Papua New Guinea students to respond to their petition.
