GOVERNOR for Southern Highlands, Hon. William Tipe Powi, today confirms the dismissal of Mr Jerry David’s court proceedings against the National Executive Council (NEC).
Governor Powi said this morning at around 7:30am, the Waigani National Court dismissed the case in its entirety due to lack of evidence.
Mr. Jerry David, who was the former administrator for Southern Highlands Province, filed the case against the NEC following his transfer appointment from SHP to Waigani Public Service on full terms and conditions.
“The court dismissed the matter in its entirety and I’m here to inform that the position will be advertised and that a permanent appointment will be made,” Powi said.
The Governor also indicated that he will pursue all legal fees and costs on the matter going forward.
Meanwhile, current acting Southern Highlands Provincial Administrator, Mr David Kelma will continue to act on the position until permanent appointment is made.
