PRIME MINISTER JAMES MARAPE TO RECEIVE STUDENT PETITION TODAY

PRIME Minister James Marape has said that he will visit the University of Papua New Guinea main campus today to formally meet with the Students Representative Council members to formally receive the PETITION from the students on behalf of his Government.

He said that he will be accompanied by his Protocol Officers and Media Team to visit the UPNG campus to receive the PETITION.

He also said that there will be no presence of heavy escort by members of the security forces as claimed by the Opposition and it’s supporters.

The Prime Minister also said there will be no debates conducted at the UPNG campus forum as claimed by the Opposition and it’s supporters. He said the Parliament resumes on Tuesday 03rd of September and all debates are to be conducted on the floor of Parliament.

He said he will receive the PETITION and go through it and make appropriate response without delay.
