THE UBS Loan Commission of Inquiry is pleased to announce that it has completed its inquiry and is ready to deliver the report.
The Commission fixed today, March 31 to complete its work and deliver the report to the government.
However, the Chief Commissioner and Chairman of the Commission Sir Salamo Injia said in a statement that the report is with Commissioner Margaret White in Brisbane, Australia and that it why the presentation was not done today.
Sir Injia said the arrangements are being made to airfreight the report for its physical presentation at a public hearing which will eventuate on Tuesday next week (April 5) in Port Moresby.
Today was also the last day of the period fixed by the government under the extension of inquiry time granted on October 12, 2021.
The government had extended the inquiry period to next week given the reason that the report is still in Australia.
