PFP USES NEW WEBSITE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE ON POLICIES

THE People First Party (PFP) has launched its website on Thursday last week to educate the general public on the party’s policies and works.

Party leader and Yangoru-Saussia MP Hon. Richard Maru during the launching said the party has been in existence for almost 10 years but it never had a website.

“The party was left dormant when Luther Wenge lost election and until I became the party leader in February last year,” Maru said.

“But today it gives me great pleasure on behalf of our candidates and party executives to formally launch the website.

“I am very happy that we have launched the website on the eve of election.

“Because now people would understand what we stand for.”

Maru said the launching of the website gives the party a great marketing approach.

He said people need to know a party’s policies before they vote.

Maru also added that PFP is offering Papua New Guinea with a different direction and wants to offer an overhaul of the system.

“Our party focuses on being economically independent in 10 years,” he said.

We declare our third goal to be for Papua New Guinea to be politically and economically independent, and our economy basically self-reliant.”

He said the party has endorsed 32 candidates, two being female, for this election.

Maru added that the party is hopeful that most of their candidate would win this election.

The party’s key policy platforms are aligned to three overarching themes or pillars: Sustainable Economic Growth & Shared-Prosperity; Human Development & Human Security; and Governance & Institutions, Leadership & Partnerships [GILP].
