WE HAVE ONLY TWO TEAMS- PANGU-LED COALITION AND PNC TEAM: POLYE

By MICHELLE AUAMOROMORO

KANDEP Open MP and Triumph Heritage Empowerment (T.H.E) Party Leader, Hon. Don. Polye said yesterday that Papua New Guineans have only two teams to choose from on whom will form the next government.

Either it be Pangu-led coalition or People’s National Congress (PNC) team.

“There isn’t any other coalition or any other alternative government out there.

“The reality is that you have two teams here; you choose between these two.

“Anything else that comes in between would be just your wishful thinking,” he said at the press conference hosted by Pangu Party and its coalition partners in Port Moresby.

Polye, who reaffirmed T.H.E Party’s commitment to join the Loloata camp said that T.H.E party would support Prime Minster James Marape on principles of good governance, fighting against radical corruption and eradicating lawlessness.

“This will be the contribution that T.H.E party will be making in terms of supporting the Prime Minister and Pangu in this coalition,” he said.

Polye said he was happy to be part of the new government formation after not making it through the last election in 2017, later being reinstated by court.

He said the last government that was led by Pangu-led coalition did very well.

“Last government was a government that you improvised under some unplanned situations; you did your very best and this government did deliver very well on the terms of economics and other development.

“Well, critics might say many things, but I think this government, under very little circumstances, did very well,” he said.

“I believe in this team and I believe in all the members of this government here; they’re intellectuals and professionals.

I’d like to ask Papua New Guineans to believe in your government and in their leadership.

“Have faith that we will sail through,” he said.
