Former Prime Minister, Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare is undergoing critcal medical care at the Port Moresby International Hospital.
Sir Michael is diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.
Current speculations and misinformation on social media that Sir Michael has passed on is not true.
Rodney Kamus, close aide to Sir Michael told Sunday Bulletin “it’s all fake news”.
Also Sir Michael’s daughter Dulciana Somare-Brash said: “My father is unwell but alive. Please stop the circulation of these insensitive rumours!”
Sources close to the Grand Chief said: “No one has the right to announce any news except Grand Chief’s family. Please have some respect for our founding father.”
